Tami Imlay is a proud Air Force Veteran and both the founder and CEO of Tami Marie Coaching and host of The Full Weight of Joy Podcast. She combines her life experiences with her God-given gifts of intuition, empathy, and leadership to empower faith-led moms to step into their light and live in their God-given purpose.
Driven by her personal experiences with facing loss, finding hope, and reclaiming joy, Tami challenges the belief that living in service to others requires a “die to self” mentality, putting others’ needs ahead of one’s own. Instead, she believes that one cannot truly serve others until they truly and deeply know their strengths and purpose.
After her husband and father to their two children was killed in action in 2012, Tami’s heart was shattered. Yet, she was determined not to let tragedy, grief, or loss define the rest of her story—and realized she wanted to help others avoid doing the same. She went on to earn a Master’s in Science for Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy, becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist.
As she worked as a therapist for the Vacaville Police Department and the Agape Counseling Center, Tami discovered her true passion in coaching. After nearly a decade as a therapist, she stepped fully into her calling to help people overcome their circumstances, find strength in their struggles, and uncover their God-given gifts and purpose. She set off on a path to become a Purpose Coach, Master Certified Enneagram Coach, and Master Certified NeuroCoach.
Since then, she has dedicated over 9,000 (and counting) hours working with clients to reclaim joy and make lasting change, allowing them to step fully into their purpose. Fully embracing God’s calling to impact faith-led moms struggling with midlife transitions, Tami guides her clients through her signature The Journey to You Method, a science-backed and faith-driven framework to help women step into their calling and experience the full weight of joy.
Tami currently resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she is a mom to two amazing kids, her best friend and partner, Kyle, and a houseful of pets. When she isn’t leading other women or chauffeuring her children from activity to activity, you can find Tami sipping on a cup of tea, tending to her chickens and garden, or jetting off on a new adventure with her family. She is honored to serve faith-led moms as life’s work, guiding them to truly discover their purpose and step into their calling.
